An incredible 12 records were broken over the course of the Track Nats last week. Six Hawkes Bay cyclists headed to Invercargill for this event - five juniors and world-ranked veteran, Kerry Harford, headed to the deep south representing the East Coast.
Ramblers and CHB Cycling Clubs brought home 9 medals – outstanding for a region with no velodrome.

Sam Thorpe-Loversuch - Silver U15 boys points race (Sam rode the last eight laps solo riding on a borrowed bike having only ever trained twice on a velodrome before the Nationals)

Regan Gough, Corbin Mason-Smith and Luke Mudgeway (along with Southland rider Michael Cullen) - Gold U17 boys pursuit (and new NZ record). The under 17 boys pursuit team was finalized on the day and smashed the
previous NZ record by 7 seconds.

Special mention also to Noah Mason-Smith who raced as a first year U15 boy and won his scratch race heat in style.
