Wes Gough named in Oceania Track Cycling Championships team

A 40-strong BikeNZ team has been named for this month's Oceania Track Cycling championships in Invercargill.

The Championships from 21 to 24 November will offer vital Olympic qualifying points in some events and form a key component of selection towards London as well as Oceania titles.

Strong teams are expected from Australia as well as the Pacific Island nations.

The BikeNZ team is:

Elite Women:

Endurance: Kaytee Boyd (Auckland), Rushlee Buchanan (Te Awamutu), Sequoia Cooper (Invercargill), Gemma Dudley (Levin), Lauren Ellis (Hinds, Mid Canterbury), Joanne Kiesanowski (Christchurch), Alex Neems (Auckland), Jaime Nielsen (Hamilton), Alison Shanks (Dunedin).

Sprint: Natasha Hansen (Invercargill), Stephanie McKenzie (Auckland), Katie Schofield (Dunedin).

Elite Men:

Endurance: Shane Archbold (Timaru), Sam Bewley (Rotorua), Aaron Gate (Auckland), Wes Gough (Waipukurau), Cameron Karwowski (Invercargill), Pete Latham (Hamilton), Hayden Roulston (Christchurch), Marc Ryan (Timaru), Jesse Sergent Feilding), Myron Simpson (Auckland).
