Robert, Dean and Carrie would like to thank The Ramblers Cycling Club for their help and support during Brenda’s illness. The funds raised during the memorial ride have gone to a very worthy cause, Cranford Hospice, who did the most wonderful job caring for Brenda during her stay there.
Brenda would have enjoyed the atmosphere at the afternoon tea in the church hall. As soon as I entered, I felt we were back in the old Puketapu hall after a bike race in the early days. It certainly brought back many memories, especially with the familiar faces present. I think that an event like we have witnessed also shows how strong the local cycling community is.
