Kiwi pro cyclist Jeremy Yates has broken a 7 year drought winning a stage in Europe, this time in the Tour of Victory. The New Zealand National Road Series Champion was racing the tour in Slovenia
Afterwards Yates dedicated the win to a lost friend."To the memory of Brenda Oliver. Ollie and his family and the boys at The Hub Cycle Centre in Hastings, who this week lost the iconic figure who has been a mother to us all. She was a corner stone of the cycling community in Hawkes Bay will be greatly missed by all who knew her."
