Becoming a BikeNZ accredited coach means you will be able to access mentoring opportunities, coaching forums, online resources and BikeNZ will actively promote you to schools, regional sports trusts and clubs.
Level one MTB coaching course: Rotorua 22-23 September 2012
Level one Road cycling coaching course: Auckland 19-20 May 2012
The courses consider specific cycling disciplines and cover: effective coaching, cycling techniques and analysis, planning training, personal review and personal improvcement
The skills of how to coach are radically different to those of how to be a good rider and the Level 1 course is intended for everyone. It is very effective for former riders, who are now coaching or want to get into coaching, or parents who want to help their school teams, or current coaches who want to become BikeNZ Accredited.
