Hi there everyone
So we have moved on from Holland, through Germany into Austria. We have stopped the night at the brother of Coach to break the journey up a bit.
I am currently lying on the floor with a 4 month old puppy, who is just the most gorgeous thing (apart from the old boy who is clearly the one in charge of the ball!) , and earlier I made friends with 2 Norwegian forest cats so I am feeling quite at home!
There are just a few short nights before race day and things are getting a bit nervous. I know that as soon as the start gun goes I’ll be fine though, it will be the same old time trial smash fest and at the end when I am totally wrecked I will ask myself why I didn’t pick poetry instead! J And then there is the road race on Sunday. I am suspicious I am going to feel very alive very soon, and am so keen to get into the race.
I have had plenty of race experience here, it was surprising how many blisters you get from racing on cobbles a few times a week! All is well on the training side though, fingers crossed for judgement day!
I will update you all when we arrive in Italy, this is just a general hello to let you know where in the world I am.
