It is fast becoming an adage that it's pretty hard to beat a Gough when you are in Waipukurau.
In great conditions in a very competitive event with some exciting finishes Fraser shone winning several stages and taking GC in the U17 event and Regan Gough also showed good form taking 2nd in the GC for the U15 boys. Ashleigh Neave in her first year U19 2nd on GC behind Maddy Brunton rattled a few cages and will be one to watch as the year progresses.
The fields were good with a lot of the top age group riders present, the hospitality and organisation was great and the CHB club along with Ramblers can pat themselves on the back for a well run first up event which promises a strong future.
