Meet at Puketapu School for a handicap race to Pukehamoamoa school.
Handicap for the newbies is when the Handicapper (AKA Tony Hartley) tries to start the grade intervals so that most riders have a chance to win the event. Lower grades start first and work together to try and beat the margin that Tony has determined. A grade start last and attempt to catch all grades before them to get a rider to the line first. This event has seen riders from various grades take the title over the last few years one of the more one of the more memorable was a victory by Dave Marriot last year. Watch out for Jeremy Yates getting in form for the Elites in January.
