Kerry Harford Tahiti Report 2

Ramblers intrepid traveler Kerry Harford is in seventh place on the Masters GC after five of the eight stages in Tahiti's Tour De L'Amitie. The rough road surface on the tropical islands took its toll on the peletons' material and Kerry suffered punctures in two stages.

The BikeNZ Masters team had to run Stage 5-2, a 30km Team Time Trial, without Canterbury's powerhouse Lester Settle, subsequently losing the Blue masters jersey of leading team mate Richard Walsh to local Serge Taruoura.

With two more road stages, one ITT and a criterium left, the team has it's work cut out trying to reclaim the top spot. In this event the Seniors, Under 23 and Masters all race together, with the Chilean National Team stringing up a raft of victories and overall placings.
