for the Phillip Burns Memorial Criterium presented by the BATS cycle club and the Burns family. This will be the 2nd time this event is being run and if it proves to be as much fun as last year will quickly become a calandar fixture. The Gough family cleaned up last year with Westley his dad Rod, His uncle Peter and cousin Fraser all showing up in the points. The event is located about a km north east of the Hotel and is run around a paddock which gives the spectators a great view of the whole event. Cars are parked in the paddock and it has the feel of a country picnic. A real Kiwi way to celebrate Waitangi Day. High on my to do list - see you there.
