Are YOU a Member yet?

From March any member who has NOT completed the 2012 membership renewal process will be required to pay the visitors fee of $10 per Saturday race.
The quickest way to ensure your membership is processed is to renew online through BikeNZ (contact info@ramblers.co.nz for your login details). Otherwise, download a membership form from the club website and post your completed forms with payment to PO Box 8548, Havelock North 4157. If you hand your forms or payment to a committee member or other club official, there may be delays in processing.
CHB members: Please note that you are required to complete a Ramblers membership form even if you are eligible for the 2012 fees waiver because we need your current contact and licence details.

Good Luck and Stay in Touch

The club would like to wish Jeremy Yates and Serena Sheridan all the very best as they make the move to Christchurch.
Jeremy joined the Ramblers Cycling Club as a junior and is one of the club's most 'decorated' riders winning the junior world championship road race in 2000 among other impressive accolades. (Keep dominating that crown range stage Jeremy!)
Serena joined us in 2009 and has been a consistent rider in A grade whilst also shining on the women's national cycling scene.
A fond farewell to you both and all the best of luck in your future endeavours.

Heretaunga Building Society Most Consistent Rider (MCR) Award

Recognising that not everyone can win their grade series, Ramblers (with our club sponsor the Heretaunga Building Society) is introducing a Most Consistent Rider Award. The award will be based on acknowledging consistency of participation at club events by allocating one point to every rider each week they attend a club race or assist in a club event.

At the end of each series the rider from each grade with the most MCR points will receive a certificate to acknowledge their effort. At the end of each calendar year, the rider with the most points over all grades for the year will receive a trophy to keep for the next year and a Heretaunga Building Society term deposit account loaded with $250.

Points will continue to accumulate across grades so if a rider changes grades during the year they will carry their total points with them and be in the running for the prize at the end of each year.
Conditions include;

HBS account will be a $250 12 month term deposit.
In the event of a tie, the winner is decided by a random draw
Annual MCR Winners agree to HBS using their details for promotional purposes.
Any rider disqualified during a club race will lose all their MCR points for that series
