The Ramblers photo albums have moved and are now been hosted by Google's Picasa Web Site.
This gives us 1GB (for non techno-phobes - heaps) of free space and will allow for better management and ease of upload for Ramblers Members.
For Ramblers Members who have photos to contribute contact me via info@ramblers.co.nz and I can arrange for a temporary Login to the Picasa web site. You will need to download the client (A great little photo editor) Here to allow for ease of upload and album management.

The Tour de Manawatu 2009 is fast approaching. A new 80 km option has been added this year to the normal 20,45 and 116 km options. Once again the Tour is a perfect lead up for Taupo three weeks afterwards.

Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge
It has been suggested that it might be helpful for club members doing the Taupo Challenge to know beforehand what group others have entered for. This is so club members may like to hook up with and ride with people they know and who are aiming for a similar time, or get some gauge of a group they might enter for based on what others are aiming for.

Auckland to Wellington Cycle Challenge Feb 2010
Hi All,
The 2nd Auckland to Wellington Cycle Challenge will be held in February 2010.
The Cycle Challenge is "OPEN" to anyone and has a real attraction to the masters age group type of competitor.
ELITE RACE: I am keen to include an Elite Race section. However this will only happen if enough ELITE RIDERS enter.
I would appreciate it if any ELITE RIDERS could contact me to indicate if they are interested in riding.
That way i can make all the necessary arrangement to include the "ELITE RACE"

Tour of Wairarapa Sunday 15th November
The Tour of the Wairarapa cycle race is open for registrations.
The race takes place on Sunday 15th November, with the 115km ride starting at 9am. The 50km race starts at 9:30am with the 10km family fun ride immediately afterward at 9:35am.
Racing again from Lakeview School on Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton, the course is the same as last year – taking participants through Alfredton, Eketahuna and back to the finish at Lakeview School.
Entries can be placed online at www.tourofthewairarapa.com and $5 from every entry is donated to Cancer Society Wairarapa.
Entry Fee: $55.00 for 115km and 50km races, $10 for family ride (max $20 per family).
Entry includes meal and a race pack (no meal included in family ride entry) and the 50km and 115km races are timed electronically.
